DonateThe Need About two thirds of the funding for the Conservatory Lab Charter School comes through tuition reimbursements from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and through a small number of federal entitlement grants. However, in an average year the school must raise approximately $375,000 to cover additional costs which are integral to the mission of the school and which are not covered through the tuition reimbursement formulas. These costs come from many important projects, including: the research, development and assessment of the school's unique and innovative Learning Through Music curriculum; the daily music classes and violin lessons that introduce and teach musical literacy; and the research on the impact of the Learning Through Music program on academic and student success. The generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations also enables us to provide an after-school program for our students and to support the full cost of renting our school building.
