The CLCS is open to all students in grades K2-5, with preference given to those from the City of Boston. Application Procedure
2009 Application, Spanish (.pdf) Lottery Students are accepted through an open lottery. Applications received by the end of February will be randomly drawn in the March lottery; applications received by mid August are drawn in the August lottery. If there are spots available in a class, students will be drawn into empty spots. When classes are full, remaining students are put on a waiting list. The waiting lists do roll over each year. Sibling Policy Siblings of children who are already enrolled have preference for admission as space is available. Being Offered a Spot As spots become available, they are offered to the next child on the waitlist. It is important to keep contact information up to date: families with out of date contact information will lose the opportunity to take an open spot. Once an offer is made, families are typically given 24 hours to respond. Spots do become available both during the summer and during the school year. Visiting Days Visiting days provide an opportunity to visit the school, and watch student performances during the Friday assembly. You must register in advance to attend a session.
