Fifth Graders Launch Service Project
by Rayne, Dorothy, Jarel, and Nechemiah
Fifth Grade is embarking on a new service project! We will be working with Cradles to Crayons in Brighton to collect items such as gently used clothes, books, toys, shoes, and other things for children, ages newborn to twelve years old.
On April 2nd the fifth grade will begin a drive here at The Conservatory Lab. We will put a bin in each classroom so all members of our community can donate to this project. Members of the fifth grade class will also visit each classroom in the upcoming weeks to describe this project in detail. The fifth grade would be grateful if families could donate things such as clothing, toys, new art supplies, diapers, and shoes, as these are the items Cradles to Crayons has a low supply of. The items we donate will be distributed to children in need throughout the Boston area.
On Thursday, April 12 the fifth graders will travel to Cradles to Crayons to deliver all the donated items and to volunteer our time sorting items and cleaning toys that will be distributed to Boston area children.
