Conservatory Lab Has A New Site!

We very recently signed a 2-year lease on a new building!  This temporary location, 320 Washington Street, will house K1, K2, Grade 1 and 2 classrooms over the next 2-3 years as we lay plans for our more permanent building to house our entire school. We chose this building for its close proximity to our current location, ample space for academics and music, and readiness to move in without a need for renovations. Annie Sevelius will be principal of the new location and Shoshana Jacobs, reading specialist and Beverly Duquette, special education administrator will also have offices there.

We have hired a professional team to ensure that the building meets all codes necessary for a school building. As soon as we have obtained the certificate of occupancy, we will be ready to move in. One requirement to get the certificate of occupancy is that we attend a community meeting to present our plan.  If you live in Allston or Brighton, we would appreciate it ir you could attend this meeting to show community support for the school to be located at the 320 Washington site.  The meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8th in the Boston Marine Health Center 3rd Floor, 77 Warren St., Brighton, MA 021355

The upper grades, 3rd-7th, will continue at the Arlington Street location, as will the development office and administration. Some resident artists will travel between the two buildings.  The new space will have its own office/operations staff person.

After months of searching, it comes as a great relief to have found a space so well suited to our needs. Thank you for your patience and support through this exciting process. We look forward to the new school year.
