Last week was the second biannual From the Top chamber music residency for this year! Young musicians from the popular non-profit organization From the Top came to our school to work with our students, performing for and tutoring them for a whole week. On Friday, four of our students – Zahndreya Griffin on flute, Edilenia Garcia on violin, Thierry Domercant on viola, and Nia Skeete on bass- performed together for an audience of teachers and students. Then, the From the Top musicians performed a chamber piece of their own. It is always lovely to watch our students perform side by side with the students from From the Top, and last Friday was no exception! Thank you to the From the Top organization, the musicians who came to our school, and Ms. Jara for organizing Friday’s performance!
