Dudamel Brass Plays at the Hatch Shell

On Friday October 18th, Kam-Rahn Carter and Arianna Rodriguez of Conservatory Lab’s Dudamel Brass performed with members of the Boston Landmarks Orchestra at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade as part of  “Santander Community Day”– a day-long celebration of the announcement of Sovereign Bank’s new name, “Santander.” Kicking off the event, Kam and Arianna played the National Anthem with brass musicians from the Landmarks Orchestra for an audience of Boston community leaders, celebrities, and bank executives. Among the crowd were Peter Fielder, the son of famed Boston Pops conductor Arthur Fielder, as well as Ken Casey, the bassist and singer for the band Dropkick Murphys. Following the performance, the students had the opportunity to socialize and take photos with the concert’s distinguished  attendees– even giving Ken Casey a quick lesson on the trumpet!
