Alvin Cooper, Assistant Principal

Alvin Cooper brings over 25 years of educational leadership, staff development, vision and strategic planning in the classroom, school buildings, educational technology, and human resources. He has 17 years of experience as an elementary classroom teacher and 13 years of experience as a district and building administrator.
Mr. Cooper previously worked for Boston Public Schools, where he was an elementary classroom teacher, the founding Chief Academic Officer of TechBoston Academy, one of 8 schools funded by the Gates Foundation. He also served as the Senior Recruitment Manager for Human Resources, where he oversees recruitment, hiring, and support for 137 schools, school leaders, and central office staff, as well as being a Lecture at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Mr. Cooper has a bachelor’s degree from Delaware State University and two master’s degrees, Integrated Studies, and Education Administration, respectively, from Cambridge College. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Endicott College, a life member of the NAACP and Omega Psi Phi, Fraternity Inc.
