5th Grade Humanities Teacher

Amber Walsh

Amber is thrilled to be a part of the team at Conservatory Lab Charter School for her first year of teaching which she has been working towards ever since she can remember. Born in raised in Massachusetts, she is a recent graduate of the School of Education at Boston University where she developed her passion for public education, community engagement, and service learning. When she is not teaching 5th grade, she loves hiking mountains, writing poems, and thinking about what it truly means to be Bostonian by working with local organizations in whatever ways she can. As a long-time dancer and saxophone player, the arts played a huge role in Amber’s schooling. She is so excited to encourage creativity, confidence, and harmony in her classroom. Through the study of humanities, her hope is that her students will feel empowered to think critically, question, advocate, and act in the name of making their community and their world a place where all can thrive.
