Cheryl Wong

Inspired by her own 1st grade teacher, becoming an elementary school teacher has truly been a lifelong dream for Ms. Wong. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in addition to teaching 1st and 2nd Grade abroad in Taiwan as an undergrad. Since beginning her teaching career in 2003, she has worked with a diverse population of elementary students, English Language Learners, students in Special Education, and students in reading intervention. During her time in Boston, she completed her master’s degree in Reading Education. Ms. Wong’s expertise in teaching phonemic awareness and phonological awareness are embedded across all subject areas. Prior to coming to Conservatory Lab Charter School, she was a Kindergarten through 2nd Grade Reading Teacher, Kindergarten Teacher, and 4th Grade Teacher. Ms. Wong arrives at CLCS with the goal of enabling students to be self-directed learners and achieve their full potential, emphasizing Social-Emotional Learning and Growth Mindset. Ms. Wong enjoys spending time with her children, triathlons, marathons, hiking, scuba diving, traveling, and reading
