Erin received her B.A. from the University of Michigan in Environmental Science in 2010, and her Master of Arts in Teaching (with Elementary and ELL licenses) from Mt. Holyoke College in 2016. She started out teaching at a nature center, then worked as a refugee school support specialist, ESL teacher, and education coordinator for an immigrant services agency in Queens, NY. From 2014-2015, she taught at a women’s college in Rwanda, East Africa, as part of the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program. As a lifelong lover of learning, nature, creativity, and exploration, she can’t think of anything better than sharing an Expeditionary Learning classroom with a bunch of curious third graders.
