Originally from Oakland, CA, Frank Casados is a bassoonist and contrabassoonist who has been living in Boston since 2006. Frank performs regularly with the New England Philharmonic, and other ensembles throughout New England. He holds a Bachelor Degree in bassoon performance from CSU East Bay and recently graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a Masters in Music Education. Frank has been the bassoon instructor with the Needham Public Schools since 2014 and has been teaching during the summers at the Hayward La Honda Music Camp in the redwood forests south of San Francisco since 1999. Frank has a passion for music education and is looking forward to working with the students in the El Sistema program at the Conservatory Lab Charter School. In his free time, Frank loves to get outdoors either hiking in the mountains or swimming in the ocean.
