Resident Artist, Brass

Matthew Gurecki

Matthew Gurecki is a music educator, brass instrumentalist, and conductor who began his studies on the piano at age ten. He found his calling, for collaborative music, in middle school when he first started to play the trumpet. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee Technological University in music education and a Master’s Degree from The University of Southern Mississippi in orchestral conducting and is excited to join the Conservatory Lab Charter School Community. He will work with the wind and brass students and is a strong proponent of student-led classrooms. In his free time, he enjoys reading, composing, and mountain biking.
