Mike Mahoney, born and raised about 45 minutes north of Boston in Dracut, Massachusetts, has been working with youth for almost 15 years. Much of his early interest and experience came while working for the YMCA. He received his BS in Youth Development from Springfield College and after working for a year at a youth residential program, he rediscovered his love for the classroom and helping students while working as a paraprofessional for 3 years in Marblehead, Mass. This led to him returning to school and receiving his MAT in Elementary Education from Northeastern University. He enjoys working with students of all ages and when he’s not working, he likes playing and watching sports, as well as hang with his friends.
