After School Programs

Our Out-of-School Time (OST) program provides students with academic remediation and enrichment, clubs, and athletics and is offered from 2:45 PM-4:30 PM.
Conservatory Lab offers a robust OST program that consists of three internal programs (Tutoring, Make Move Jam Enrichment, and League Athletics), and one partner program (YMCA Childcare).

During tutoring time, students are led by Conservatory Lab staff on research projects targeted to hone students’ skills in areas in which their teachers have identified they need support.

Make Move Jam Enrichment offers clubs that celebrate students’ creativity, self expression, and cultural identities. Students self-select which clubs to participate in such as fashion and culture, global dance, and gardening.
Since the 2020 completion of Conservatory Lab’s Upper Campus (Grades 3-8) building on Dorchester’s Columbia Road, Conservatory Lab has been able to offer League Athletics. Through Athletics, students get to practice a new dimension to the collaboration and teamwork they learn in the classroom and ensemble rehearsals.

YMCA Childcare is a longterm partner of Conservatory Lab that supports the school in meeting the childcare needs of its families and also provides tutoring to students to support their retention of classroom learning.

Call (617) 254-8904 X216 for questions or for help after hours.

The YMCA runs an after school program from the regular dismissal through 6pm. All pick-ups must be before 6:00pm, or there is a $1.00 per minute, per child late fee.

Financial assistance is available, as well as a 10% discount for additional siblings. Please email kmaclean@ymcaboston.org or one of the site directors for more info about pricing.
