Resident Artists facilitate an opportunity for students in K1 to teach a little bit of our song “So Glad I’m Here.”
3rd Grade
Upper Strings: Students present information about the lyrics to Lightly Row and the Mississippi River, as well as recorded performances and related artwork.
Lower Strings: Students facilitate an introduction to our work this semester, and Dr. Barret and Mr. Sulbaran share students’ artist statements and high quality student work exampless.
Winds/Brass: Students highlight both challenges and areas of growth during remote instruction. We describe the process for putting together our galleries and sharing two examples of students’ work.

Resident artists facilitate an opportunity for students in K2 to teach their grown-ups how to properly hold a shaker and how to play an eighth note subdivision for about 1 minute, then everyone sings and plays “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” together.
4th Grade

Resident Artist Joshua Garver facilitates a crash course in how to become a string player! Young musicians teach their grown-ups to make a bow hand, how to hold their instrument, and even how to play a beginning open string exercise!
5th Grade
Upper Strings: Students will present information about Ignatius Sancho and share recordings of Les Contes des Fées, as well as artwork and written fairy tales.
Lower Strings: Dr. Barrett and Mr. Sulbaran will introduce the students’ work this semester, and they will share students’ artist statements and 3 high quality student work examples.
