Elizabeth graduated from college in 2008 with an interdisciplinary degree in Science and Technology Studies. After earning her degree, Elizabeth took a position teaching Chemistry and Physics at Blackstone Academy Charter School in Rhode Island, where she also designed and taught electives in Sustainable Design, Wilderness Leadership, Bioethics, and Documentary Filmmaking. At Blackstone Academy, she developed a passion for teaching science for social justice. After six years teaching high school science, Elizabeth decided to go back to school to earn her Master’s in Education. While she enjoyed her graduate program, Elizabeth truly missed spending her day with young people, and is happy to be part of the teaching team at Conservatory Lab Charter School. When not teaching, Elizabeth enjoys painting, baking, and training for road races and triathlons.
