Mastering Mindfulness in Schools


Schools are discovering that practicing mindfulness can helps students who have experienced difficult emotional situations develop self-calming skills. At one school in Oakland, a group of students found the practice so transformative that they wrote a book about it. Master of Mindfulness: How to Be Your Own Superhero in Times of Stress teaches other children how mindfulness can help them deal with family conflicts, sad feelings and sibling rivalry.
